P4YP CIC has received a £49,984 grant from money raised by HealthCalm through the Health Lottery.

The funding will enable Positive 4 Young People Community Interest Company to run an ‘Activity Road show’ in 3 areas of North East Derbyshire for local children and young people.

Starting in July there will be a variety of activities that include Boxing fitness, Dance Fitness, Mobile Skate Park, Graffiti Art and Fencing. They will run in Tupton, Clay Cross and North Wingfield.

P4YP CIC Director Julie Marriott said: “As youth provision in our communities is diminishing, this grant will help us to offer our young people in 3 communities an exciting Activity Road show over 2 years.  This will encourage healthy well being and improve confidence and self esteem for many of our children and young people.

Many young people in these areas have never done some of the activities on offer and by using local activity leaders this will form effective community links during and beyond our project”
